Done with 22

I recently bought TRS22 and, to be quite frank, I'm not impressed and extremely disappointed. I have a lot of routes I've created for myself, and none of them will work in 22 seamlessly. A lot of work has to go into getting them to load without dependency issues. All, every single one, of the objects that I've used are on the 19 DLC. A lot of them were not ported over to 22, which in my opinion, they should have been. As far as 22 being better than 19, I don't see a significant improvement. So, all the work I would have to do to get my routes running on 22 doesn't seem like a good investment of my time and energy. So, I wasted $40.

Hi Chili46
We don't automatically port content/DLC packs over, as many members prefer to choose what they put into their Trainz installations. In general if your route uses content from installed DLC packs, then you would need to install these into TRS22 to access those dependencies that are exclusive to those DLC packs.

However if you want to simply use all of the existing installed content in your TRS19 installation in TRS22, you can create a clone of your Trainz LocalData folders (which contain all of your installed content), and then direct TRS22 to this. You can do this using this guide:

Alternatively, you can simply direct TRS22 to the existing LocalData folder, however as TRS22 will update the database to the latest format, the LocalData folder would not be able to be used with TRS19 afterward. You can do this by following this guide to direct TRS22 to the TRS19 LocalData folder:

I have 311GBs of content in my local folder - I probably don't want to duplicate that amount of data for TRS22 unless I intend on dropping TRS19 completely. The jury is still out on that decision. All the data is backed up, so restoring it would not be a problem - just a nuisance. Even if I managed to get all the content into TRS22, I'm sure that's not the end of it. There's probably a ton of work need to have the routes running the way I originally intended them to run.
