Have you ever lost sleep over a Trainz issue?

Hacontent. Maybe others here will share their "lost sleep" stories/fixes etc? Maybe some think I'm nuts? Lol. Fire away.

Never lost sleep over Trainz - I know some will see this statement as "blasphemy" but it is just a computer game, it is not life itself 😄

Regarding moving from Surveyor Classic to S20, my advice is to take it slowly. You will not master S20 in one step. My transition took many months and was done in stages - my most commonly used features transitioned first and the least used last - but other "graduates" to S20 may have done it differently.

New S20 features are still appearing each quarter in Trainz Plus (the Bulk Replace Filtered Assets being a recent example) so the learning never stops.

There is an animation problem that both Majekear and I are concerned about at present but not enough to lose sleep over it. I sometimes find it useful to step away from the PC and work with a pad and pencil and just think about the issue.

I'm not a route builder so S20 means nothing to me right now. On the odd occasion I've popped in to take a look I realise I don't know where anything is so I happily retreat to the old system.

When its stable I'll start reading PWare's WiKi stuff on it.

Probably, I'll just finish this little bit, or I'll just try this to see if it will work before calling it a day and before you know it, its 2 - 3 in the morning and I need to be up no later than 07:00. The other reason is reading the Forum late at night and trying and to get the head round another members problems which for some reason keeps nagging at you. Peter

Have you ever lost sleep over a Trainz issue/thought? Share the problem? Fix? Still trying to resolve?
I have had a bad issue (ok..good) all of my life of having "things click into place" just before I fall asleep. I then have to wakeup and jot things down on paper or fix the problem. Recently I have been trying to wrap my head around in S20 by reading the forums here, reading the Wiki, checking the discord server and watching video content. Maybe others here will share their "lost sleep" stories/fixes etc? Maybe some think I'm nuts? Lol. Fire away.
Lost sleep - already have it, every two hours to waddle to bathroom, loo, john...could go on;);).
Beam me up Zec.

I never lost any sleep but I have used the time as I doze off or wake up to plan what I want to do on my current route project.

Driving, on the other hand, is very sleep inducing for me. I've been known to SPAD or run on to the ground more than once because I've closed my eyes for a few seconds.

In TRS22?? Don't frighten me.
I'm miffed! The tracks and splines are fine in Surveyor and when editing a session, but when you sit in the cab, they either don't appear or show up in chunks. I found by pressing P to pause quickly when this occurs, the splines draw in quickly. While this is a band-aide for the broken baling wire, we shouldn't have to do it.

I removed bush splines because they were the last thing I added before driving.
Replaced track with different ones
Went from Pro-track to regular track
I tried different graphics settings including lowering the resolution all to no avail.
Precached my data again
Ran an EDBR again and again
Spun around in my chair multiple times while watching for golden sparkles to appear, but that didn't work either.

May be this is due to my very large complex route that is now about 360 km long end to end and was started 20 years ago. It might be time to start over. ;-(

Well... At least they will draw completely in comparison with here (i'm trying to replicate the issue right now in Driver)
