Has Anl stopped talking?

i wanted to know why Anl has stopped talking on the form. Because when I ask him about makeing his addons freeware he just doesn't respond! And I ask him about his progress he doesn't respond! Does anybody know why?
 
Did you check to see when he was last online? If you are looking at his profile page it should tell you. It may be that you will just have to sit tight until the next time he is online.
 
No, he has responded to a diffrent form about 4 weeks ago, but the problem is that when i ask him if it will be freeware or if I ask him about his progress, what does he do? He does not respond!
 
Probably because he's tired of people like you constantly pestering him about his stuff instead of just being patient. I don't blame him for wanting to keep to himself.

I get your point, but I wish he was a little kinder(even though we don't deserve it). Also, has anybody given Anl a pm? If not why don't you try.
 
PLEASE just leave the guy alone! Why is every 12 year old on this forum obsessed with him and his content? There are other FEFs out there, on TrainzItalia. I really should keep quiet on this, but it drives me nuts when I come here and I see another thread along the lines of "ANL pls make your stuff freeware".

You recognise a reason why and still beg... what?

Every time he's asked about this, he probably sets work or a release date back further. Stop asking, he won't come back with people constantly begging it from him. At this point I doubt he'd want to return and release anything except to stop these kinds of posts.

C'mon kid, this is obvious. Don't bother the guy. He clearly doesn't like it when people ask him about his stuff, so stop asking! Simple as that. He'll do what he wants when he wants.

May be at this rate he'll have his engines out by the year 3000. I bet for everyone of these stupid, useless, unnecessary threads he sees, he pushes his release date back by about 20 years.

Dundun92, you're right. You and all the other people that pray to ANL every night really DON'T deserve his attention.
 
Wow. Ok that was really a snobbish thing to say, "I wish he was kinder to us" that's the exact bs that drove him to not respond to gimmie pigs like you're being to him. You've got a lot of nerve to be saying things like this. We don't pm him because we respect him and his decisions. Now leave him alone. I'm being straight up with you right now. You and others like you are the reason why he's gone. I even gave you the answer and you act like its a surprise he's gone. ANL will do what he wants, when he wants, and not because a gimmie pig told him to.
 
Based on the way things are going, maybe someone should close the thread untill ANL has something to say. Also, the trainz Italia challengers and FEFs don't work for my trainz2009, therefore, I am DEPENDING on ANL releasing his addons. Besides, the Trainzitalia ones are lo-quality.
 
And i hope you get people begging YOU for them so you can see how it feels to be pestered over and over by the same group of people saying "RELEAS LOCOZ NOW!!1!!11!"

They do work you need to change the build numbers for all the dependencies however.

Honestly I really wanted to stay out of this, but I'm gonna put my 2¢ in on this once and for all.

1. ANL, at this point thanks to all the pestering and bugging this community has done, will NEVER RE-RELEASE HIS CONTENT. Deal with it.

2. I don't care if his content was good. There are equal if not better content creators out there. Seriously, it wasn't even complete when he initially released it.

3. The TrainzItalia ones are perfectly fine. While they may be old, they are still FREEWARE. Be grateful for that. Not everyone has direct access to survivors like 3977 or 3985.

4. It makes me mad to think that such under represented and unknown classes of locomotives are gone forever because people don't have any form of patience. I never once asked for them to come back. I didn't have access to his engines for 2 years, and as soon as I got them on my new T:ANE installation, I took one look and kind of went "meh". I just didn't really care for them as surprising as it may sound. As much as I wish ANL's content would come back, its not happening. And maybe that will teach everyone a lesson. You never know what you have until its gone. It's sad to see someone who has poured so much of their personal time and effort into something to just be unappreciated by the community they work to support.

Sorry if it feels like a rant, I just wish everyone would see where I'm coming from and understand what we (the community) have put ANL through.

I have read the majority of the threads that have been created concerning ANL's content. I have even replied to some of them. One of those posts was particularly rude and after apologizing to ANL for it I made an oath to never make such a rude post again. (Hence "Think before you post") Furthermore, I have noticed a particular trend. Practically all those threads were locked due to insults, impatience, and just plain rude posts. (Myself included for one of them.) Furthermore, after reading these threads I have learned a valuable lesson. If you want something, or if you want it done faster, do it yourself. Meaning that if there is a loco. route, or whatever that is either payware, A WIP that is taking your definition of "forever" or "vaporware", if you want it, you will have to create it yourself. (This is only considering if you don't want to spend any money on Payware.) For example, I am a HUGE fan of the UP 9k class. When I learned that it was payware and no longer available I began creating my own version of the loco using 3d modeling skills I learned before I even started playing Trainz. Furthermore, there are more things I would like to say concerning this topic but they would probably be in violation of the forum CoC and my said oath. However, the gist of what I would like to say is that, we may probably have to forget about ANL's content and instead just create it ourselves.

The guy has a life outside of Trainz. Better get over it. He's entitled to do whatever he wants with his life. ANL cannot be held hostage for your wants and needs.
 
I like how some people just completely forget the fact that content creators have lives too.

I'm not a content creator (at least in my eyes), but I get messages all the time "hey man, are you doing these SD45T-2's" "hey, what about those SW1200s"...........dude, I'm just trying not to get kicked out of my house.....

I'm not saying ANL is about to be homeless, and I say that because I have never talked to the dude, but what I am saying is.......well.....at least recognize that most people here have jobs, wives, kids, etc. Its just a game, and a hobby for creators who can't have a model railroad for various reasons. Get off ANL's back. He's probably got stuff going on in his life or just doesn't want to be bothered by gimme pigs.

Content creators =/= personal workforce.
