Happy Thanksgiving All Trainzers!!! My sweet wife who is slowing down due to medical probs, is still in the kitchen cooking away. Bless her heart. I'm going to take her on vacation over the Christmas holiday, otherwise she'll cook her heart out again! Thankfull to have her though. And, I'm not going to overstuff this year, my surgeries won't allow it, Well, I'll overindulge a little!
Take care all!!!!!

21 Lb turkey turned out great, apple crisp was an absolute hit with melted ice cream over top.

When I cook, all the fumes and smells make me lose my appetite.

The whole house smells like Alice's Restaurant (can't find it on the DLS).

Cooking up the turkey giblets for the cats & dogs.

Boiling all the carcass for making 1 gallon of turkey soup.

All the tryptophan in the turkey will have me sleepy for a week.

You're lucky you can smell the food. I've lost my senses of smell and taste from the PD it seems. They are there but very diminished now, so I ate a little bit of turkey and stuff, but everything tastes like it was made out of plastic. I've lost 17 lbs. from this issue and my doctor is concerned, but I can't get myself to eat if the food has no flavor. In the past I'd eat a ton of turkey, including the giblets that weren't put into the gravy. This year the dog got it for his dinner. I didn't even bother eating much. The pie is in the fridge along with the fruit dessert and cheesecake. I had a tiny piece of cheesecake, and that was that. Not as much of an appetite as I used to have.
