Narrow gague lovers, steam lovers, and railfans of northeastern pa.

It has been 50 years when the the east broad top reopened as a tourist line on August 1960. Now with the the E.B.T. 50th i am proud to see the east broad top turn 50 and have more years to come. Happy 50th E.B.T. and many more years of good running.

Let me know if i had a error in the dates thank you.

here is a video of the 15 wearing the 12 whistle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJbIBvPbsUw

EBT 14 BACK IN SERVICE?

I hope the E.B.T put 14 back in service so the 15 won,t have to pull the trains on most weekends.

Sorry to burst your bubble, But it will be awhile till they can get a second engine up and Running, about the same amount of time to get the mount Union Line open.

E.B.T is my favorite steam RR!!!!!

Old track.

Some old rusted track with old E.B.T hoppers.

Seing how it is 3 rail dual gauge, I would say yes.

Comparing it to older pictures from the 50s, the place shure has changed.

Mount union yard was once a busy place. With E.B.T. and PRR trains switch cars and interchange with the East Broad Top or pennsy. But now it,s just a ghost town.

Hoppers

I wonder if ya'll up at EBT would let us ET&WNC guys in the Gorge grab a hopper or two because we need something to carry ballast and other stuff in for maintenence! I'm sure lil' #16 (Plymouth 8-tonner) will be able to tow at least one of those Hoppers up the gorge.

The current management decided it was better to have it close to common carrier era, so the paint that has been on there since the reopening (except for certain events...last year's spectacular, etc) has been banished to the memories and pictures that all the riders have...now they need to repaint the M-7...

Trying to access the Horseshoe Curve live webcam, to see the fall folliage conditions for this weeknend ... but the webcam appears to be down, or discontinued ? Anyone else have any luck viewing it ? http://64.84.107.59/view/index.shtml

The "EBT RR Fall Spectacular" is this Fri, Sat, & Sun

Bring your earplugs ... its a real noisy place !

Better yet one of the BRB&L Coaches. Seeing how Tweetsie has EBT coach #5 it wouldn't hurt to get a more authentic coach that the ET&WNC used back during the 40s. At least railfan weekend would be more realistic.

By the way Dp, i can not believe you used the word "rebuilded."

Rock On!

Nice weekend weather

Get Out ... And About ... Before the white bugz start buzzing about the streetlamps at night (Snow).:hehe:

Riding the train is lots of fun ... but even railfaning the trains from the ground as a photographer is a whole weekend long extravaganza ... don't miss it !
