GSMR 1702

I found these pics of a Trainz version of 1702 and was wondering if it's a kitbash or somebody's personal project. It looks almost like a K&L locomotive but he didn't make a 1702 but he did a Southern 2-8-0. Or, is it a kitbash of a Ben Neal locomotive? Peter's Trainz has a TVRM 610 kitbash of a Ben Neal locomotive which is not the same. https://www.trainzportal.com/mytrainz/view_media_post?media_post_id=418248

Yeah, something that we won’t get because K&L payware is forbidden to be uploaded anywhere. Might as well make a commission of one from somebody but that will cost money. Or, modify the TVRM 610 on Peter’s Trainz which is a kitbash of a Ben Neal freeware loco and use a long oil tender if you can find one.

No, not that I'm aware of. Nobody made a version that is allowed to be released. The model above might be a kitbash of a payware locomotive. I wish somebody like Trainz Forge (trainboi1) would make one.

To me, that looks like it's probably a kitbash from K&L locootives. The smokebox seems like it was pulled from K&L's southern Ks or Ms.
I thought so too but when I went to look at their models to figure out which one (and copy this build for myself), I don't think it's K&L. It looks like it definitely uses their textures but the Southern engines they have are both slightly different in a few noticeable areas (running boards, grabirons, etc.) I would love to figure out what the base is.

Do you think it could be a kitbash of a Ben Neal locomotive? There have been Ben Neal kitbashes on sites like the defunct CPLW, and now some of them are at Texas State Shops. I wonder what oil tender he used? I found models of TVRM 610 on Peter's Trainz (Ben Neal kitbash) and on the DLS (original model by NOT_DOS_Player) but 610 is slightly different than 1702 despite both being ex-U.S. Army locomotives. I would love for someone to make an accurate 1702 though. I have 2 hog maps from the DLS of the GSMR but the middle section is missing. The section west of Bryson City toward the nature center and the other map has Topton, NC and Andrews, NC. That end has a rail bike operation currently in Andrews. Andrews-Murphy is apparently out of service. I want to eventually build Dillsboro to Murphy. I might need someone to make me the missing DEM segment. For now, I might just use the DLS 610 locomotive for 1702, and use a long oil tender.
