does anyone know what the signs are of a failing videocard, i i have ran tests all all my other hardware , but my mouse freezes every few sec, i thought it was my ram till i ran memtest and it was all good with no errors, if so is anyone interested in donating a used videocard because i am completely strapped, and i cant afford to replace the one i have and its only 6 months old

Yep, sounds like a mouse that's about to go. Even though hardware fails like anything else, i doubt that a card that is only 6 moths old will fail unless it was miss handled.

Do you see any hardware conflicts in Device Manager? Have you tried simply uninstalling the mouse driver? Unless you've installed a special mouse driver that came with your mouse or your computer, Windows should reinstall it's built-in driver after a reboot or two after uninstallation.

A mouse freezing every few seconds is a sign of either a hardware conflict, which is rare today due to PnP, and possibly something running in the background.

Have you checked your computer for malware? Malware will do this as it searches for network connections, and gets in the way of other processes on your computer.

Run SysInternal's Process Explorer

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653

Run as Admin, and choose show details for all processes.

This program is similar to Task Manager, but with much more detail. You can see the publisher, and full path of the files, plus what's included in svhost.exe links, etc.
