Graphics card problem?

Successfully downloaded excellent loco simulations (from a well known third party content creator) on to Trz 2009 on my "old" computer. Tried to repeat this with my "new" computer but the loco liveries are faulty (they resemble a tessellated pattern with a kaleidoscopic range of colours);- in other respects (movement, sound) the simulations seem to be OK. Following a suggestion I have checked the Display Settings of the Graphics Card;- they are identical to those on my "old" computer.
The "new" Graphics Card is a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 460 1024 MB. Has anyone out there any helpful suggestions? In words of one syllable please in IT-speak!

In CM turn off hardware compression, see also "black textures".

Try as whitepass suggests. It cures the issue with the latest Nvidia drives that causes textures to be black.

And maybe it will also cure your kaleidoscope colours. If it does not, perhaps consider speaking to the supplier of whatever it is you have been smoking.

Content manager> file > settings > Miscellaneous, remove tick from enable hardware compression.

I'm not IT savvy I'm afraid. How do I find "Hardware Compression" in CM and how do I turn it off? also how do I find "black textures" in Forum?

In CMP, click Files->Settings->Miscellaneous tab. There's a box you can untick.
