GOT TALENT? TPA WANTS YOU!

Oh hi.
We are looking for some route builders to join us.
:)

Are you able to spend a lot of time in surveyor and work hard to make it look as good as possible?
Have a clue about vegetation in Trainz?
You focus clearly on high-detailed landscape?
You enjoy setting up little scenes that makes a route come to life?

That's awesome! Then you might be the one we are looking for!

Your requirements:
-Good english (or german). You dont have to be a native speaker or an oxford english student, but we want to understand you.
-You use Skype. Thats our way of communication. Its important that we are able to reach you.
-You use Dropbox. Or you are willing to install this little tool.
-You have to have some basic social skills and able to take advise and criticism! We arent mean (usually at least), but we tend to be perfectionistic. Same goes vice-versa, if you see a glitch, just speak up.
-You are not a bronie! :hehe:

What you will be up agains:
-Taking over some routes we have and take care of the details. One at a time. Most of them are autumn/winter.
You wont have to take care about signaling, trackwork, CMTM scripts or setting up humpyards.
"Just" the things mentioned above.
:)

What we can offer:
-Access to all our files we have in the making.
-Reskins.
-Help with researching for your projects.

Some words about us.
We are a bunch of people from all over this blue ball, we have members from America, Australia and Germany.
Our site has been up for some time and some of us are well known within the Trainz community.
Currently, we are re-organising the website and we´ve got a lot of assets coming your way when the site is relaunched.
We enjoy railroading in general, most of us enjoy building the transition age and we also have some people who clearly enjoy narrow gauge in Australia and the US.
Our projects arent focused on the US, so if you are say, an indian NG fan, you might find yourself in such a project sooner then expected!

Now if this appeals to you, drop me a private message here or place some screenshots of your work and we'll get it rolling!
Cheers!

I use Skype
IF I put my work at it I can make something look good
but I use TS09
if you are interested contact me Via Skype

-You are not a bronie! :hehe:
I am not a bro[w]nie, but I see how being a food item could impair ones ability to make good routes. However, I am a Brony, does that matter?

:o

I am a bronie as well but I do not go around talking about ponies and other things, I just like the show, nothing more, nothing less

Same here,

I found this entertaining for the fact one could post this in the same manner:
"Star Trek fans only, StarWar fans need not apply"

At any rate, its probably not a serious statement by the OP.

On Topic:
What time-frame are you looking for in terms of specialties for builders?

cheers

I dont say a Bronie cannot build awesome things.
Offending people because of their affectations aint my business.
But a Bronie would not fit right into this group, trust me on that!

About the time period, see the opening post!
I kinda stated it there, gentlemen.
So for your convenience:

Though I think vegetation isnt much of a fast changing thing, apart from different seasons.

We don't like to be demanding with qualifications, but these 'points' don't always pertain to TPA work. The chats that we have over skype can get a bit... err, weird, and on some occasions that weirdness has had negative effects because of perception (as things tend to do so over social media) and whilst we don't aim to hurt, if you aren't open to constructive criticism, jokes about possibly sensitive matters or jokes about proverbial sterotypes, fitting in may be a challenge.

One thing we also tend to look for is people who tend to use nothing but Trains 2012 (with some exceptions) because, predominantly, that is what our model builders, (both 3D and route builders) create their models for. Its not that we have a grudge against people who stick with previous versions of the software, its just that some of us aren't overly happy about people refusing to upgrade as we try to take full advantage of the features the latest edition of the sim provides.

Lastly is that on skype chats we don't always tend to talk about Trainz, or even trains for that matter, because we all have a life outside of Trainz, and while we look for the enthusiastic, we do not look for the obsessed. We do have certain 'rules' regarding chats which helps both you and us with communicating. New talent is a first because many of the old hands around here belong to other organisations or prefer to remain independent, and whilst we like to advertise, I prefer to scout talent, rather than ask for applications. Many of us at TPA are perfectionists, and we like to see the best for our group. In the words of Tom Hagen, "It's nothing personal, its just business.

Wait, how did I get dragged in again? :hehe:

...yeah, I just wanted to be a part of this thread :hehe:

Cheers

that is funny because I am friends with about 45% of the TPA group and they all don't care
they see me as me

I am not begging to come onto TPA
I already did that

Taylor you're not getting it. What I suspect they're talking about is the ones who don't shut up about brony's and who need to make sure everyone knows they love it and they're a brony. I have seen the show, I laughed a little bit, but where's my brony avi? where's my posts saying I'm a brony? By the way, wtf kind of statistic is 45% when you're talking in relatively low numbers

LOL, I get along with 50% of the women I've been married to....... I guess that means that I don't get along with 50% of them, too.:hehe:

HEY! Using that reasoning, by saying that you get along with 45%, that means that you don't get along with 55%, or the majority of them. Not a sound statistic to be using to prove a point, if you ask me.

Discrimination? Nope, just good ol' fashioned common sense.
Kudos to you Isegrinns and the entire TrainzPA team. Nice to see someone looking for not only people with talent, but some maturity as well.
Best of luck to you and your team!

H222 (Jamie),
Such a great point. Here, why don't I throw it down everyone's throats that I am a Libertarian? Oh wait, that's against the Code of Conduct because it doesn't belong here. Same thing with this MLP crap, it doesn't belong here. Anyone with any sense does not care if you wish to be an 18 year old male watching a show designed for 6 year old girls. Did any of you see that episode on the 11th? Well I didn't, but I sure heard it was a good watch of My Little Pony.
Anyway...! Also agree on the whole statistic thing. Look, 45% doesn't exactly cut it, and what does it matter? Quit begging to be a route builder with TrainzPA. You just want attention I'm sure, please, refer to the MLP thread if that's what you're after.

But hey, like everyone else, I simply share my opinion on the matters at hand. Isn't that what 'discussion' forums are for? If not, I understand, but please make it clear to me. Perhaps rename this to the 'love, tolerate and moral support' forum. ;)
Trainz is such a great tool to simulate an awesome industry, but, let's remember to keep our heads on straight. That's all. :)

Just my thoughts,
Woody
