going to buy new gpu

well guyz i am going to buy a new gpu on 26th of march
currently i have planned to buy his 6770 i gb gddr5 gpu but one thing that force me to put this thread is thAT
very soon new series of nvidia i.e 6xx and of ati 7xxx is going to arrive market very soon
so what do you say guyz should i go for ati his 6770 or i should wait for new series

Probably best to go with the 6770. Bleeding edge is never cost effective.

New GPUs come out every 6 months so there is always a newer better one coming out.

I've recently bought an XFX Radeon DD 7950 and it is a very capable GPU. If you go for the 6770 I would suggest the 2GB version rather than the 1GB. This one new on Ebay with free postage http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2GB-Radeo...raphics_Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item19ce80e1bd is a reasonable price.
As for Nvidia versus Radeon, Nvidia have a reputation for being more expensive and power hungry, both things worth considering.

the 2 gb version isnt available in my country
the link you mention is that they are shipping free to uk and out side uk they have shipping charges which makes it lil expensive
i am looking for this one and also in contact with local shop to get any news about 77xx series as they just got 7950 and 7970 in stock so i thught they might get 77xx series soon to

my psu is good enough to handle 6770 as its a 450 watts psu with 42 amps on dual 12v rails

the 6770 only has a 128bit memory interface ,i just purchased the H I S HD6790 ice q x turbo it has a 256 bit memory interface and it's core clock comes @900mhz and it will oc to 1000mhz. it's a much better card than the 6770,and it's only about 30 dollars more

Has anyone assigned any weight to the fact that Auran recommends NVidia for TS12?
