GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

G'day iceman2117,

Thanks for that information. However, I am not sure exactly what you mean by...

..."...How intregiert in Max, Maya & Co and a Heaven I know itself best...."...

...(perhaps your translator had some problems with your German (?) original), except that you are saying that you use MAYA, rather than Max. In which case, you may ignore my Max related comments. Although I know absolutely nothing about it (except that it exists), I am sure that MAYA would still have a similar feature and even if the thought of adding the sky (your translator's "heaven") only occurred to you after you had done the render, Max allows its users to 'go back' and re-do the render with the alternative background (in the same amount of time that it would take to do the 'cut & paste' in another program - not taking into account the actual render time)...

G'day lenice (Glen if I may be so bold),

You wrote...

..."...Just wish I could create something HALF as good as this. I for one think it's great Ice. Knocked out in ONE HOUR. WOW..."...

...which was exactly my first impression (without knowing at the time about the one hour 'build' time, which puts a completely different complexion on things) and with some practice, this degree of competence can be achieved by anyone (crickey, if I can do it...). First impressions (despite the proverb) are important and when I first saw it, my jaw dropped too but as a former Photographic Competition Judge, I was soon forced to look more closely. Then, the amateur Engineer in me noticed those things that appeared to me to be glaring inconsistencies in what was, up to this 'model' (and still is, actually, given the Lebrero 135TT that has since followed), a body of work beyond reproach. My 'comments' were never intended to be criticisms but questions designed to elicit from "ice", whether or not he was aware of these 'inconsistencies' (that much, they achieved). If he had responded by saying that this was, in fact, the case (as it is with the attic roof), I would have been (and am) quite happy to believe him and put the matter to rest (and go back to enjoying his productivity)...

...perhaps I could have been "more subtle" and made my comments 'off thread' but I will admit that this did not occur to me. This is certainly something to keep in mind for the next time...

...incidentally, I fully agree with the 'content' of your signature. By the way, the quote, you may be interested to learn, is accredited to one Scott Adams, an American cartoonist, responsible for publishing "The Dilbert Principles" (of which the quote is one - "You can never underestimate the stupidity of the general public.", is another), amongst others, who was born in 1957 (making him but three years my junior). You may want to 'adjust' your signature accordingly...

Hello Jorgen,

Quelle superbe création comme à ton habitude ! J'ai vraiment hâte de la voir dans Trainz ! Continue comme ça !

PS : J'ai quelques photos des bogies d'une NPZ. Si ça peut t'intéresser ?

hi, Jerker

Unfortunately, my English is limited only to technical things and I can only answer very incomplete.;)

Only so much more:
How Is My models in a very short time, usually from very simple views, often with only a photo page.
I try to do my best, I'm not sure they can get.
Sure we will get to watch something from you.

Before I forget it, ...
The Render off all my Objects I have build as a Model in TrainZ and RailWorks simultan.

greets ice

Is that a trick question, Yann??? Of course I am interested. But! If you intend to email them, please wait until after the 13th when I am back on my 20Mbit connection.

PS! The Re 6/6 is undergoing in-game testing tonight

Jerker,
Hope the weather is good up there on that pedestal! The word Pious comes to mind. The quote was found on another website and did not have an author attached to it,thence it is "unknown". Don't bother writting a reply. I am about to hit the unsubscribe button and won't be back to this thread.
Ice, your work is very impressive. As for the translations, we obviously cant be as good as Jerker. This is an international forum and game after all!

Please guys I dont want this thread shutdown. Why must we fight? (DONT answer that) Please stop. thank you.
