GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

G'day slave-driver,

Bill, I have to ask...

...how many million polygons would be involved in that model?

I thought (and was summarily told in no uncertain terms) that I was going "overboard" a few years back when I created this...

...but that is mere 'child's play, compared to your superb creation above...

...I "dips me lid"..

I could say but I would feel bad about all the cardiac cases that would result from it.:hehe: I can't remember right off hand but I know it's well over 90,000 polys for the truck. I think I got a little carried away with the detail on it.

Bill

Bill that level of detail is impeccable! Some of the smaller details I didn't even notice until I really looked over it again. One thing that just caught my eye was the EMD engraved logo on the truck.

Very nice job and I can't wait to see this UP Unit come to life!

G'day slave-driver,

Bill, you can never get "...too carried away..." with detail! I suspect, however, that you might have some difficulty getting the model to 'work' effectively in Trainz...

...keep up the superb work...

SBB RIC 51 (large picture)

A while ago I showed the SBB Re 4/4 IV electro locomotive project in here. Now comes the proper wagons for said locomotive. These are built in 3DS and I will have a go at texturing them in Blender, but it is the basic colour scheme on this render. All that is missing is the lettering and SBB logo.

From left to right: AB (1st/2nd class), A (1st class) and B (2nd clas)

Wow Yojimbo a big work compliments ...

If you need pictures of these details can help you search

Thanks, please do. I got the present day livery and lettering 100% covered thanks to Beetsme, but I really need the old pre-red and white double arrow version. I found some on railfaneurope.net but they were rather grainy scans of old paper photos, so if you can find some in better quality, I would be very grateful.

In my archive I have these simple logos SBB

but I'm looking photos of the coaches in the various sites that I know and then I'll try on my railway magazines
Good night
