GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Hi Iceman2117,

what a pity for me and the other Dutch trainz people. But out of that it is a nice model!

G'day All,

Here are some renders of my latest 'little' project (the first part of it, at least), a VR (Victorian Railways) generic Sectional Roundhouse constructed from Corrugated Iron (as you all know, a well used building material, here, 'downunder')...

...which comes in four parts, as per the standard set by andi06. Firstly, the 'left closer'...

...followed by the 'right closer'...

...the first of two possible sectional portions, this one with just a plain rear...

...and finally, the other 'section', which has a workshop attached (to provide some cover for the 'dig holes' that need to be made so that the supplied 'pits' can be made to "work" correctly)...

...the next one will be a bit more 'exciting'...

...it will be of brick construction...

G'day backyard,

The initial release will be for TRS 2004 but don't rule out (or hold your breath for) a version for TS 2009 in native mode. Incidentally, it may be some time away as there is an important track 'alignment' issue being discussed elsewhere in these pages that needs to be overcome before the set can be 'published'...

...I guess I should have included this image, which shows the small annex attached to the outside of the right closer (the toilet facility, I believe) and also gives a view of the back of the 'house'...

G'day Motorbreath,

My most humble apologies for calling you "backyard" (and backyard, my most humble apologies for mistaking you for Motorbreath). It appears I quickly looked at the name associated with the thread rather than the one with the most recent post and responded accordingly...

G'day ozzie,

Having just read through the previous page worth of posts, I now understand what S301 is saying to you at the top of this one. I, too, recommend putting your efforts into 3DS Max, if you already have access to it. All of the stuff I make is now made using that program (though, like so many others here, I 'upgraded' from learning initially in Gmax)...

...and don't let those 71 years get in the way...

@ guziol:

Maybe you can describe, witch modell your are constructing.
Otherwise, this thread would mutate to a quiz-thread.

Hi Ice,

Well, that certainly brings back memories from the past. Apart from the cleaning they where often used on very hot summers to cool the bridges to prevent them expanding too much so they wouldn't open anymore.:hehe:
Very nice model, over here the tank was a pale green colour btw.

Greetings from sunny Amsterdam,

OK, so it never has any chance of making it into TRS, but heres something I've done in photoshop for my uni course, a bit of re-designing. (Sorry about the copyright thing, but I had to do it cos its original and what not.)
