GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Very cool! :hehe: Will that be released, MaglevSX?

Im not Joking here.
Yes I can release It (in real life!)
all I have to do is send the model to lego thay count up the blocks and put a price on it then they print the screen on the box and send to me (with instructions!)

And if I become a member other people can buy the model.
(I don't get the money lego does)
BUT...

I have the old version of lego digital designer and it will
not accept the model when I send it the lego site.

I have downloaded the new LDD but when I click on it does not respond!

If you use the program 'LeoCAD' (yes, it is spelled correctly) you can export the lego model to .3ds, and import to 3DSMax... And yes, I have done it. I made a steam loco in it, and then converted it to 3DSMax a while back and started to work on optimising it for TRS. Never got too far, as it is a long and painfully slow process... But it can be done :)

Oh yes, I actually used that one to make a set of instructions for that loco (which I had made in real lego as well) :)

Oh yes. I make stuff in 3DSMax... That isn't technically GMax, but it still exports to TRS. People make stuff in 3D Canvas Pro. Again, not GMax, but it most certainly can export to TRS. People also make stuff with Blender. That isn't GMax, but it now has a (work in progress) exporter to TRS...

Not everything has to be made in GMax to export to TRS... But not all programs can export to it (or a file that can be imported by a program that can export to TRS) as well. :)

I model in Blender, Export to 3ds, export to Gmax, texture in gmax, animate in gmax.... :P

So only the model I do in Blender :p

Cheerio,
John

35,628 polys, needs a little optimization. (The bus panels are around 1,680 each, 2 seats is about the same amount)

Oww I was about to say that!:hehe:

The C&TS Rider Gondola I am working on :) Converted by the Friends of the C&TS from D&RGW 9600 class Pipe gondolas, which were converted by the D&RGW from Standard gauge outside-frame boxcars.

No, I don't have plans for the boxcar. I suppose I could, but it would be awhile. I am making the C&TS observation gondola and D&RGW frieght gondola versions of this one.

Good stuff WEN. Have to say that upholstery would make ya feel bad after an evening on the loopy juice. :udrool:

Cheers
