(jaw drops) That is freakin awesome! That shay is probavly the best thing to happen to logging Trainz since slugsmasher's West Side shay. Might I say though that you do two versions, one knuckle the other link and pin.
Na, I think he means that the thing don't look right. It looks as if it is too small and out of porportion to the rest of the loco. But it would look nice with some gauges, j-bar, and a throttle. Hey I can't say nothing, I have just started on a engine, and had to get some help.
I'm not sure what would be wrong with the cab. It's built to the diagrams I have. If you look up "Good Roads Construction Shay" you'll see a similar model.
I don't usually put cab controls on the outside views of a locomotive, because of the polygon count. And I'm afraid this new Shay I'm making probably won't have them either, because I'm already way over the limit of polygons I wanted. (22,000 for the body alone!)
While it's technically not considered a render anymore:
I second that! You have evidently done a ton of work and you should be proud of it! By-the-way, did you build this loco completely from scratch? Either way it looks wonderful!
Loco is from scratch, model was constructed in two days. I finished all the texturing today and at the time of writing this message the driving assembly animation is finished and I'm working on the bogey animation.
