The whole "texture sizing thing" is total bull. You do realize you there are plugins to help texture a model, right? Like unwrapping? Sizing up textures to a model that is not the same as the what the textures where made for is stupid. Don't copy other people's stuff. It doesn't matter if it's a "placeholder" or "I'm gonna replace it" no one else on the forums who has a sliver of respect for the original creators does it except you.

Besides online summer classes and other projects, I am still pressing on with the Manitou and Pike's Peak Cog railway locomotive. Again, sorry this project has been dragged out for so long. This time around however, I would like some constructive criticism on the texturing (or any other aspects of the model) I have done so far. What is everyone's thoughts? I would love to hear some feedback, and don't worry, I am used to criticism. :hehe: **The textures for the boiler, funnel and lamp will need an update as they are just the base textures from Blender.

I like your color for Black.
As for everything else, I'd mess about with the brass, I don't think that's quite the right shade for it. I'd also revise the green on the windows to be a little less saturated and maybe a hint more "blue." Other than that, I think you're in good shape.

Its not bad atless It no longer looks like a tank rear ended it anymore, I don't know what I was thinking wend I made the first one I shod have did this form the start
It now has proper number bords and a cleaner looking body. The steps need work.
