Nice work young Jake, What is your new method mate ?.
Cheers Mick.

G'day!

Well, new to me. :hehe: Basically I just experimented in the UVW window, piecing parts of the wagon together to directly correlate with adjoining sides, think of an unwrapped cube. So that the textures would flow a bit smoother along each face.

Cheers!

Jake.

Working from original DSB 1:10 plans and with access to a completely stripped down 1:1 version at the DSB workshop in Roskilde..... loving it :udrool:

For some reason no matter what I do, Alpha textures do not render properly in Blender[/QUOTE]
Looking at the details of the roof, particularly the pantograph areas, got some neat stuff with the arc/flash/droppings on the area there. Are you going to do some of the weather/dirty effects to the area between the pantographs? I'd imagine that gets dirty also.

Didn't notice this at first, this is what you want for Blender renderings:

(Materials tab widened to full screen)
Note the Transparency subtab. Alpha and Specular should be anywhere between 0.25 and 0.5.

DSB Litra H2 - tender 1941 configuration

A quiet Sunday in port allowed for a lot of research in the various plans and diagrams. So except for the main cylinder, the brake system is nearly in place, as is the various struts and plates which make up the undercarriage. Some additions still remains on the buffer plank before the business end can be approached in earnest. Luckily nothing indicates us leaving port within this month ;)

I think I have a inspection ditch somewhere on my harddrives, when I find it I can post a shot from below - it's worth the effort :D
