GMax and 3DSMax (And any other modeling program) screenies/renders

Wow what modeling program do you use Kessen1? Great job on the model. :)

Thanks Matt3985 :)

I use 3ds Max 2010 64bit

Sorry for my English, but I translate with Google
To render I use these settings:

Wow! Now for a dumb question...How do you render with that great reflection? Is that a capability 3DSMax? I've only used Blender...

In Blender, enter the material tab, check "Mirror," and adjust settings as you like. It's almost unreasonably easy to achieve once you take a glance at it.

Thanks! I'll take a look at it... It's sometimes easy to overlook things among the myriad of options available in Blender. I tend to stick to what the tutorials suggest (must not have gotten to that one yet!).

I haven't gotten back to this locomotive in awhile. Mechanical Engineering classes take up a lot of time :hehe: This is a more scaled version of the Manitou and Pike's Peak Cog railway #4.

Good job so far on the Pike Peak Cog steamer there. Did you let David111767 know about what your making because he is building the line that they ran in because he sent me his route to beta test to see if it works in TANE and it did.

I know and it was all over the Chicago news. I glad I got the chance to see them many times at work during my many visits to the city.

Nice. The bottom cylinder looks a little big to me, and the roof should be fully arched - it doesn't just curve down at the edge. It's a good start, though.
