It's an old Peppercorn A1 that's not exactly brilliant, but has provided parts for the K3, V2, P2 and quite possibly the above A3(I wouldn't know).
There might be some bits on there if they were on the P2 as well, I can't say for certain. There are definitely several bits of your V2 on there though...
Let's just say if there isn't ARN then I will voluntarily put it on, and/or make new names/numbers as a matter of course. I don't want to always be running the Scotsman.
Gay didn't mean what it has been converted to mean these days though, so wasn't silly then. Definition of Gay = light-hearted and carefree.
Flying Fox is one of my favourites as well! Such a fitting name, especially compared to some of the other A1/3s names which are rather silly. Gay Crusader, anyone?
Saturnr- if 4475 was rebuilt in 1947, it would have almost certainly carried LNER Green as a A3, but carrying the number 106 and it probably wouldn't have had any tender lettering when initially outshopped. At some point a bit later on it will have gained it's full BR number of 60106 and British Railways lettering on the tender.
