Finally finished baking the interior view, unless any issues turn up once it's all animated (hopefully I've caught them all!). Also added a lot of textured details to everything, although I'm still spotting more to add. Will then look at what I can, and can't, add as 3D 'overlays' onto the textures to ensure it looks right, and what will suffice with a normals map.

My mind is blown away on how much detail everyone has put in on these trains. I give it 100% I was looking back on page 601 and I noticed some one was doing SOU 630. I was wondering how long it takes to do 630. We all have seen NKP 765 off simulator central, NW 1218 in trainz, NW 611 from ben neals trainz and now from peters trainz southern 4501 with 587 and I've got to say they look amazing. We need SOU 630 to complete norfolk southern era of 2015. I have been working on a southern fictional 80's to 90's layout for about a month and I would like to have 630 run on it. I have 4501 with pullman cars and 611 ready to double head with it. Everyone has a gift don't turn down what you can accomplish. Me I can't even do trains like that I just know how to build layouts and model railroads. I hope southern 630 will be done soon. I would love to have it on my layout and to complete my project.

Thanks Lukas

How long it takes depends on a lot of factors. 1st, how complex is the model. The more details, the more time. 2nd, how much time dose the creator have to devote to the project. Is it a full time job where they have 8 hours a day devoted to 3d molding, or do they do it for fun for a few hours at a time.

A few things once needs to consider where asking about a model being done or not.

Yes you nailed that. I forgot how long people have on part time jobs. If you just rush right thur it, it would turn out to be sloppy and not be perfection. I've seen people just work on one project then forget about it and move to something else and not come back. When I saw someone was finally doing sou 630 I was happy because no one was even thinking about try to do it but I hope it get done and looks great.

Finally, someone understands!

Cheers, mate!

Hay I"m just saying I know it takes long time make something. When someone says that it will be done soon, they are waiting for it and then it like what two more months before it's even done if not more but the longer the better lol

I needed a specific style four garage workshop for a route I'm building and couldn't find what I'm after, so just whipping one up. Nearly ready for texturing.

He might have meant the back of that specific loco doesn't have a back plow. Although I searched a GP38-2, which was the first one I came up with, and they didn't appear to have a back plow. I could have sworn that I saw it on some other locos.

In general the back of a US locomotive does not have a plow. However i wouldn't be surprised to see some older locomotives on smaller lines (shortlines, regionals, etc) sporting one, put on by the smaller line.

A plow on the back well build up snow and can derail the loco, the WP&Y found this out the hard way running there GE 90's back to back and as yard locos so they removed the plows on some. I always build to a photo(s) if I can find them.
