Hallo iceman2117,

its really a nice building - like all of your content.

have you ever thought about considering season change within your assets?
E.G. creating a snow and a non snow version of your buildings. If the asset is located above snow line trainz then would indicate the snow version and below the snow line trainz would indicate the non snow version.

Hello Tume,

With all due respect, I notice for some time now you've been going around bugging content creators for "seasonal". Of course, you have put in lots of effort to make some of your assets seasonal (specifically, snow) and that's really cool, however take into consideration some of these factors; sheer inconsistency of Trainz assets, seldom/rare usage of snowy assets, more work involved, bigger filesize and scene load. Logically thinking, creating snowed assets individually probably won't work and never will (unless all content creators unanimously decide to update their stuff with snow).

There are other methods to achieve snow which does not involve per-asset modification. Since N3V is working on a new engine they may look into this as well. GTAV set an example when they blanketed the entire game map in snow for last Christmas. Sims 3 also has a dynamic snow and frost effect that applies to all outdoor assets in winter. These are game engine-level effects (post-processing, if you will) instead of asset-level effects that you seek and in my opinion should be the way to go.

Cheerio,
Nicholas

G'day cmburgess,

...lovely work, there, Chris! I am concerned, however, that the handrails appear to be far too 'heavy'. I "see" them as being some 2" in diameter, where I would expect them to be half that (mind you, although I have a 'soft spot' for this design of van, I am no expert on them)...

Hi Jerker

the hand rails do look heavy but from the info on my drawings, they are spot on which was hard to believe, I will take it down a few centimeters,

Chris
