Hi! im having a problem with my trainz game. when driving, my train glitches A LOT ( one second the train is here wait 2 seconds and its gone, poor quality, etc.) can anyone help! its really getting annoying.

What are your system specifications, and what is the 5-digit build number on your Launcher screen?

Shane

im sorry to say but its 49922. i know thats bad but when i try to update the version, my game wont work. tried it about 2 months ago and i had to re-install the game.

Could you please post your computer's specs? We're looking for how much RAM you have, what operating system you are using (and whether it is 32 or 64 bit), the processor speed and type (and how many cores), and your current graphics card.

Kieran.

you could just go and download the installers for the game again, now... this will allow you to install it as the latest version 61388, without have to go through patches...

That's roughly what they meant. However, there are a few things to watch out for.

Firstly, if the issue is actually your video card (one of the reasons why your system specifications are important) then reinstalling will not help.
Secondly, if you bought your version before November 2012 (when Simulator Central launched) then it's likely that your download will not be the latest version.
Thirdly, uninstalling the game will require you to manually back up your content before you start removing it (the content is stored in <trainz install folder>/UserData)

OK - the DVD-ROM versions (boxed versions) may or may not come as the latest version. I will need to verify elsewhere though on that.

If you did originally buy it from Simulator Central, it's unlikely that the disc version will have changed (that's not to say it hasn't changed, just that it's unlikely). Anyway, either N3V or someone who has bough TS12 boxed from N3V within the last year should know.

OK i downloaded the newest patch/hotfix/service pack thing and i went from 49922 to 61388. Should everything run smooth now? P.S. I love how trainz looks now!!!:)
