Currently im having an issue with certain routes where if u dig deeper on the route there's water that you cannot remove and can't do anything about it, its extremely annoying and i have no clue on what to do in this situation, I'm also having a issue trying to merge routes, the game immediately crashes the second the route tries to merge. I know it isn't my computer since im running well over the recommended specs to run this game on ultra, but i am deeply hoping someone checks these issues out and could possibly find a fix for them.

I'm also having the problem with merging routes. Some routes merge just fine while others just crash the game whenever I try to merge them. I try everything, like deleting missing assets, changing the terrain style, but nothing seems to work...

There is not a program called Trainz 2022 Plus. You are using Trainz Plus. If you think there are issues then file a bug report.

Please report any bugs using this link: https://n3vgames.typeform.com/to/xRdryu

The Trainz Plus has a new way of handling water on routes by making it an effect layer which can be edited in the same way as terrain is edited. This is a feature and not a bug. Perhaps it might help to familiarize yourself with the documentation of Trainz Plus.

https://docs.trainzsimulator.com/

The issue with merging routes in Trainz Plus is well known and has been reported through the bug reporting system.

You must have at least 32GB of ram or higher to merge routes

To remove the water

Edit Route, not Edit Session
Edit Menu | Edit Effect Layers
Choose the water layer or water layers as there maybe multiple water layers. Click the X to delete it
Save the route 'Save As' give it a new name + new session, you can delete this session

If have 16GB of RAM and have had no problems merging large routes in TRS22PE.
I used to have 16GB ram, but was having issues merging some routes in TRS19, TRS22 it was like the game completely fell asleep and did nothing.
I now have 32GB of ram which helps a lot :)

Maybe it could be something to do with the brand?! Just a thought

How much Virtual RAM (i.e. disk space reserved for use as an "overflow" memory - often called "memory page size") do you have set up?

From the Trainz Wiki page at How_to_Merge_Routes
The merging process occurs within your computers on-board memory (RAM). If this is not large enough then your system will also use virtual RAM, i.e. your disk storage space as temporary memory, which is significantly slower. If your system does not have enough memory, both on-board and virtual, then merging large routes will become a problem (i.e. impossible or will take a very long time).

The Trainz forums contain several threads where attempts to merge very large routes (hundreds of Megabytes in size) have taken "days" to complete or failed to complete at all. In many of these cases the users did not have enough RAM (on-board and virtual) installed in their system. In one documented case, doubling the available on-board RAM from 16GB to 32GB and increasing the Windows virtual memory page size (disk based or virtual RAM) reduced the merge time for two extremely large routes from failing to complete in over 50 hours to successfully completing in 10 hours.

There are several web sites that can assist users to check their Virtual RAM size and increase it if needed. Here is one for Windows 11 - how-to-manage-virtual-memory-on-windows-11
