Sometime today, I'll be getting Trainz classics 3 as a digital download from the Walmart site, and I'm curious to what I should expect from the game. I've heard a few things about it like most of the new physics were introduced, but not much. So what should I expect from TC3?

Sorry Kieran, but I already bought TC3. I'm just waiting for Walmart to send me it via email so I can install it and get it registered.

Serious question, why would anyone want to blow money on a legacy version of software?
I mean T:ANE will be coming out very soon, should've saved your money for that instead.
or y'know buy some DLC like Kieran had said.

Like stated in the past, older computers. They can't run anything higher the Trainz 2006, and TC3 is based of the Trainz 2006/4 engine. I may be getting T:ANE for christmas though. (and BTW, I've already got TC3 as you can see on my timeline.)

So instead of saving your money to purchase or upgrade a computer, you instead blow it on older versions of software?
I don't understand the logic in this, if you have a copy of trainz that works fine, why do you need an older one?
If it runs erratically, throw the computer a GPU.

Like stated, I have a old Windows XP machine, and a old Vista laptop, both which don't run anything higher then TRS06. I have a Windows 7 that can run Trainz 2012, and a newer laptop that can (possibly) run T:ANE.

Okaaaaaay, you have a Win7 machine that can, emphasis on can, run TS12, yet you bought TC3 instead of the more updated addon for TS12, which you ALREADY OWN.

As you can probably tell, i am really confused right now. There is no reason that you couldn't have bought the addon for TS12. You make no sense, no matter what excuse you use.

Good luck,

TC3 was a decent upgrade over 2006. New steam physics were added and several annoying bugs were fixed. It doesn't have much content included outside the (excellent) British route, so you'll want to bring over content from your 2006 installation.

You still have a working trainz install. You have demonstrated that to us. There is no reason you absolutely have to have trainz on your laptop so much that you buy a ridiculously outdated version.
Take those puppies to a pawn shop and start saving up for a real laptop, don't spend money just to get results now, when in the long run it's going to be regretted upon.

Neon, we all aren't rich people in world like you are, so please shut up already about getting money to get newer stuff. @Pencil42, when I said TRS06, I ment demo. I'm sure that I will enjoy TC3.

You're not seeing the point.
Buy trainz now for your current laptop, presently pleased.
Future: Acquire new laptop, Trainz: A new Era 2 is out or something, displeased because the money from TC3 could have funded that.
Also in no way am I implying that I'm rich, I'm only encouraging money-saving in this case.

Who cares let the kid waste his money on an outdated game while we all enjoy A New Era of Train Simulation. I deem this YAUT
