The nice thing about Trainz, is that there is always plenty to do. Sometimes I'm in to the mood to work on projects... track laying, placing scenery objects, etc. Other times I just want to drive. Whatever the case may be, it is always different.
This weekend, I focused on my Arizona Divide project. Though not even close to being ready for major landscaping, I found it relaxing and even motivating to pick a spot and lay down some scenery. I wanted to get a feel for how the route would look and spent many hours working and re-working until I felt satisfied with the result. Only about a mile (out of 255) is landscaped so far, but this is the look I'm going for.
Here is the "cover shot" of the Arizona Divide... version 1.0.

The BNSF Seligman Sub sees 80 to 120 trains per day, and today is no exception. Westbound Q-KCKLAC Intermodal on Main 1 with GE C40-8W #911 on the head-end pulls hard to cross the 7,322’ peak at milepost 347 that is the Arizona Divide. Historic US Route 66 is visible in the background.
