Fury dead: Long Live Trainz!

48 hours... closing Sunday night... hmmm... ;)

Only joking folks. I am sure Trainz fans will now get plenty of warning prior to any potential demise.

People are paying for the Auran DLS by purchasing their First Class Tickets. It is finally making money (and that only took 6 years of continual growth, widespread use of broadband and a very competitive server market). Now that the server costs are covered, all we have to do is recover the DLS losses then sell enough copies of Trainz to pay the staff wages. :D

Regarding speculation about what could have been, I would rather just look forward to a successful future for Trainz. The equation for success is quite simple:
the more people support Auran through FCT and product purchases, the more funds are available to invest in making better products. Better products leads to bigger sales. Beating sales forecasts give investors warm glows inside and makes them likely to support further investment. Business 101.

I am going to take a wait and see approach before buying .... just being honest! However, if the Forum members (those who buy it first) give it a :Y: I'll head to Auran online store and place my order immediately!! That's a fact! :)

On a footnote: don't rush it.... even if you need to call a meeting with investors, just don't rush it. I have been waiting for a full trainz simulation product since TR06, and waiting a bit longer is not going to bother me at all.

As for the DLS, I always buy a first class ticket, regardless.... I can't stand low download speed anyways! :)

Yes, buying a FCT is the least we can all do. I just renewed mine last Month, since then, I have only visited the DLS a couple of times to download some more road traffic, the Austins A35, Devon Van, and Cambridge, as well as some others.

Fifties/Sixties Routes need 50/60's traffic as the majority of vehicles, although 30's Old Timers were still around in small numbers.

Trainz has kept my interest over the years like no other Software Programme or Game ever has, and , although I tried 2006, I couldn't get on with it, but I am really looking forward to 2009.

Even if I don't use it, I shall buy it for Aurans sake.:)

Yeah, I read that Fury has died a slow agonizing death. I feel sorry for its supporters. But what I want to know, if this finally ends the Fury drain on Auran. Or do they still owe creditors?
