Fixed Track gauge does not match Auran 2009 oak

This is the second route I have built were I found some sections of the "Fixed Track" does not line up with the gauge of the Auran 2009 oak track gauge. The gauge on the fixed track is slightly wider. It's hard to tell when laying track. It all looks O.K. but trains will derail when you try to run. Anyone else have this problem? How do you fix it? Last time I had to tear out all the fixed track. Deisan

I'm not so sure fixed track, especially if it has a wider gauge than the standard spline track, would cause a derailment. I've driven a standard gauge train on a narrow gauge track and even though it looks completely ridiculous, it still worked.

It might be to do with the attachments though. There are some fixed track animated switches around and I always derail on them (and I know particularly another user who does too)

There is no fix and apart form a visual problem would not cause a problem for the trainz.

Best bet is to do away with the fixed track and just use the oak track

Don,

The fixed track is essentially a scenery object. The track its self is there to make the object look like track. The trains actually ride on invisible track which is part of the assembly, very much how automobiles run on the different intersections.

Regarding your other post, there are probably others as well as the two you found. You can always rename these in Content Manger. Simply change the name in the asset details pane.
