Finding My Profile Again... **New Important Update**

Following the story, we lost Internet connectivity. We are now with AT&T. We also cleaned the computer, and not a peep out of it. As to show, a dust-bunny the size of my fist. Trainz works, I have built several goodies, and they are still under construction, and soon to be released.

There's still a problem, CMP will not recognize my Planet Aruan profile. I have my correct KUID entered, my username, and my password. It is on "Use Internet Explorer settings" and states my profile does not exist and cannot be found.

Help is needed, and the situation is urgent. My drivers are out-of-date, but have no effect on Trainz. As far as I'm concerned, it's the Internet. As soon as we lost connectivity, Trainz was fine.

Help is welcome.

Try this, delete user name and password from CMP save, shut it down. Restart CMP input the same user name and password again and save then hopefully it should work........... least it has for quite a few on here me included.

Failed? I don't think so.

Malc,
Thank you, I have tried that just now. It appears to not work. Yet, it was under a circumstance, one were it was trying to do something. I am trying to re-open the CMP to try with different variables, but it doesn't seem to open when I launch it.

I will not give up. Thank you for your responce. Other theories and answers to help will be given a warm welcome.

Cheers,
Joshua

Joshua, what worked for me was going to the DLS, making sure I could log in there. That was OK so then I tried to download to make sure the CMP would pop up and download. After that the CMP opens and works fine for me.

So far... Nothing's working.

Loren,
Failed. It opened, and stated it was checking my username and password. It stated then that it could not find my account and that either my serial number was not registered or that my account hasn't been made. I then checked, and EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I can't figure why it's so stubborn.

Cheers,
Joshua

Try re-entering your serial number. I had to do that after reinstalling 09. It said my number was all ready registered, but then it "found me". Good luck.

So, what was the response of Helpdesk in response to your ticket?

Epic Failure of CMP? Is there hope with another one?

http://support.auran.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=viewticket&ticketid=2052

However, that was before we lost Internet and it started to work. Sadly, the CMP didn't fix itself. No profile recognizing, and everything has been checked to be so perfectly entered, that it is totally stupid not to understand and I seriously believe my CMP is either destroyed, or something else.

NOTICE: My TRS2006 was automatically uninstalled when our computer fell silent because of dust and couldn't restart. My uncle reset the computer to a fail-safe factory default configuration when it crashed. Everything was deleted and reset to present programs and the computer from when it was released from the factory. Trainz was deleted, and my uncle had no idea I had Trainz installed or how complex and easy to ruin it was. If you can help me, let me know, I can't figure how to re-enter my serial number, I installed the game correctly. My KUID is even in the text file, but is says this:

base-kuid
<kuid:435001:100133>

This is definitely one case for the professionals at Trainz, because I simply cannot figure out anything I can do. Now, one more thing... Will another simulator work? My computer is fine, and Trainz works, but it's the CMP. Will another TRS2006 work? Can you even have more than one of the same simulator registered? Perhaps Trainz Classics 1&2?

Thank you for your help so far.

Cheers,
Joshua

Joshua, to reenter your serial number go to the Trainz Forum start page and up on top you will see serial number. Go there. Good luck.

Tried Again...

Loren,
I tried, got this message:

Note:
The Serial Number is already registered to you.
AT6D-Z3TD-****-6G5G-PWMU-****

Cheers,
Joshua

I received that message also, but after that I could use the DLS. I am sorry it didn't help.
Did you update all the drivers after the reset?
Loren

No, I did not. Shame too, I have no clue what new drivers to get. Compaq doesn't make this model anymore, and I'm sure that the drivers wouldn't cause all this, would they?

Cheers,
Joshua

Urgent Update

**URGENT UPDATE**
I entered the CMP. It prompted it was Updating Database, and checking Username and Password - typical. I Alt+F4'ed the windows 'X'ing them out, and it prompted saying it couldn't find my profile. I hit, OK, and Cancel. After some committing, I went to File>Settings. I checked 'Use Internet Explorer Settings' and make sure everything was A-Okay. I clicked OK, and it went to 'My Content' and everything looked like it went through!! Then I noticed it still displayed 'Register Your Serial Number' in the Download Helper. I 'X'ed out and re-entered. When it prompted me, that's when I realized something....

It can't FIND my profile.

Could there be a possible problem just unveiled? If my CMP took in the new settings, yet the profile couldn't be found... what's going on here?!

Joshua

OK, look here.
http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=7345
Then start at the back of the TRS2006 forum. You will see a bunch of threads about getting TRS2006 working in Vista.
As to why it ran fine before? It could be that going back to factory settings there is now something installed ( causing a software conflict ) that you had uninstalled before you installed Trainz the first time. If that makes sense. Good luck.
Loren

Oh God. Your probably right... Shame too. Windows has millions of programs, and everything has been touched. I don't know what the heck it is. I we've had the computer for 1 year until I got and installed TRS2006. Anyway of finding what the heck is causing all this trouble? Heck, I'll learn scripts and hacking if it comes to that. (Hacking my own computer, of course, I'm not that stupid or irresponsible! :hehe: )

Loren,
Do you have any knowledge of where I can download or get new drivers for this computer.

It's a Compaq Presario SR5233WM. I realized they put a Product Info sticker on every computer! :hehe: Silly me!

If you referr back to my post about my Ticket submission, I posted my driver information if you follow the link and follow the thread there.

Cheers,
Joshua

Hi Joshua.
The first place to look for drivers is always the manufacturer.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3577865#

Compaq seems to keep a very good data base of drivers, even if your machine is not supported now.
You can also Google for drivers, but remember to scan your download before you install.
Personally, I would uninstall Trainz, run CCcleaner in the register until there are no errors, install the latest drivers, then reinstall Trainz as administrator, also installing any patches as administrator.
Good luck.
Loren
