I've finally figured out how to get your own vehicles on the roads in 2010, in which only trackside objects are allowed on the roads unlike in 2009 where any object was allowed (I'm not too sure why it was changed). Type 'carz' into the search bar and choose one of the vehicles that are trackside object (ones with a picture of a signal to the left of them), not scenery. Right-click and edit in explorer. On the config. file, where it says mesh-asset, replace the kuid number of the vehicle with the one of the vehicle you want. Then you need to know the name of the mesh file of the vehicle you want, so right click that car, edit in explorer, and look for the IM mesh file. Type in the name of that file on the original car where it says 'mesh', and put .im at the end.
This doesn't need to be done under 'default-night', the stuff under there is what gives the cars head and tail lights.
Now, say you edited 'beetlecrusher 01', instead of loading up the beetlecrusher from the carz mesh library, the game will load the mesh of the car you chose. Doing this does not affect the 'carz' scenery objects, you will still have those.
Remember to commit the asset (if it causes an error, revert it back to original and forget everything i just said).
