Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland WIP

Much of my Ffestiniog stock was made in the early (pre 2004)days of Trainz, when there was no support, whatsoever, for steam.

The talk of britomart has reminded me that I did build a new version of Brit for Trainz. This was just prior to my RSI problems :-

I might see if I can dig it out and get it working.

cheers,
kevin

No critisism intended Kevin, it was just the way it was back then. The fact that your models are still widely downloaded after 8 years speaks for itself. Britomart is looking the part too.

i have done the bogeys of the ng16 and there are a the right hieght now i think that it might need to be slightly lower as the front water tank should be in line with the whr coaches roofs.
IL post some screen shots of them during the week.
thanks
Patrick

Hint, you can use the position tag on both the bogies and the body parts and juggle, Watch out for one of the axle boxes though as it appears to be on both the bogie and one of the tanks not a problem unless you move the wrong bit with the position tag. Hope to goodness they don't remove that in a future version of Trainz!

Anyone working on an NGG15? I know there is a payware one however there would be the redesigned tender problem for a start. If no one is I might have a look at that after I finish the route and there is something more than a tender available to work from. Plus I really must get to grips with a working cab, Lyd and Mountaineer now have cabs but nothing working in them yet.

yeh i just need to tweek it a bit to get it right.
On the subject of ng15 i have both 133 and 134 made by Paulz trainz they don't look bad, i had 2 tenders made one with a bunker arrangement and one without.
Il post some screen shots it the licence allows.
Alos i have a reskinned k1/2 in the works which i have permission to release and if you want a crack at canearfon castle i have some ga drawings and a good number of photos for it.
thanks
Patrick

Better put a couple more screen shots up as this is the screenshots forum.

This took ages to make, it's one lump, used a bit of creative license on it in the end.

Got carried away with Penrhyn, most of the buildings are mine, bit more creative license I'm afraid.

My attempt at Pitts Head, sort of........ Amazing what you can make out a round blob in Gmax. Anyone who knows the WHR will know what this is!

Britomart under adjusted engine spec, being badly driven by me didn't catch the wheel slip that happened just after this shot I'm afraid.

With twice the number of carriages that Britomart's allowed to go out with I'm not surprised! :hehe:

Ah there was a reason for that, needed to make sure it was struggling under load, which it most definitely was, wouldn't have got that far if I'd stopped at Minffordd, needed a long run to get up the bank!

TRAINZONE DOWNLOAD ISSUES

Hi

For those of you experiencing difficulty with downloading the FFESTINIOG rolling stock from the TRAINZONE website at the moment please be patient.

Our web host service have made changes to their service which is affecting the ability for some of the files to be downloaded.
We are waiting at the moment ot see if they are going to rectify the problem.

However, if they don't sort the problem soon, we will make the necessary changes at our end.

Michael

Epic looking route!

Stunning Route!
I often try a route, get all the trackwork done then get bored doing the scenery:o, which is why i have never uploaded a route.

Seriously looking forward to the release of this (if it has already been released please tell me!)

A few more screenshots, most of these have some of the new heritage carriages made by edh6 in them.

Looking good, I think I'll be upgrading to a newer Trainz especially for it! (I assume you're building it in TS12)

Yes it's ended up as TS12 as it seems pretty much impossible to back port it to 2010 although I have tried both 2010 and 2009, I might when finished do an original version.

Love this thread.

It is a shame the rollingstock doesn't have cabs, this is one of the few prototypical routes for trainz and its a shame the rollingstock can't make it a complete awesome package. I'd love to be able to ride along it in cab mode!

I've been working on that issue, in between everything else. Afraid I can't the hang of actual working cabs the animation is beyond me however I have knocked up none working cabs for mine and I can get the controls to work using the on screen controls / keyboard, using a script, I'm pretty certain I can sort something out for Kevins that haven't got cab views as well use watch this space.

Hang on I'll grab a screen shot with a cab view.

I'm pretty much sold with that shot :). I don't really use the controls in cab view, just the view itself :) It's the best way to see most routes, coming from someone who likes Trainz as an immersive sim :) Wales seems pretty immersive to me!

Any chance of a shot of the map? Or is that too revealing? :D

Can't fit the map into a screenshot it's a bit too big.

Anyway been messing with some slate wagons, sort of generic ones with load capabilty, which I might get round to uploading at some point.
