Not me but what a mess these are, looks even worse in TS12 SP1 due to all the uniform colour warnings.

Coaches are easy enough, copy all the bmp files from the body into the shadow folder and commit, that gets rid of the errors. Warnings are the usual pm2im fixes etc.

The loco appears to have files for a garratt in the shadow mesh folder? and something for the fat controller?? two options.
1. Move the shadow pm to the body folder, change the path of the shadow mesh to the body folder and delete the shadow folder then commit.
or
2. Copy all the bmp files from the body to the shadow folder then delete all the texture.txt files that don't have images and commit.

Again the rest is standard PM2im etc.

Alternatively you could just do what I did back in 2010 and just delete the shadow mesh folder and container for all of them and live with the shadow warning. Could use Quickshadows to knock up a replacement shadow that doesn't have dozens of images with it.

Just checked, all those item are in the DLS Cleanup list so may be getting a proper fix at some point.

You really are a whizz Malc. :D thats worked a treat.

I don't suppose you know where I can find the last few missing items, do you ?
not getting anything on google .....................

Just a note that the original author of these items, MSTNoodle, left Trainz in 2007 due to being bugged a lot about his Thomas content so he cannot update them himself. He tended to re-use the same textures for some of his assets which is why there's a texture file for a Garratt and The Fat Controller in the above assets.

My way of creating a shadow is to copy the mesh into a shadow folder (and rename it shadow.im), as well as all the *.texture.txt files. Then make a small 4x4 texture that is completely black, named black.tga. I then edit the .texture.txt files to all say Primary=black.tga. Then I add the shadows container to the config, save and commit.

If you're wondering how I got in contact with MSTNoodle to find that information, we met a month or two ago at the Brisbane Model Train Show, where he was exhibiting a layout.

Kieran.

Bit of a long winded way to make a shadow, I just use Pevs 'quickshadows', only takes a couple of clicks.

As Clam states, these assets are in the DLS Cleanup list, so will be put out to any user who wishes to update them, we don't have to rely on MSTNoodle to do it.

Well after a few hours work & your help, I now have everything needed, thanks for your time Malc.
The 'dummy bogies' caused some problems, the only items in the folders were the config.files, no im. files or textures, had
to rummage around and make them up, but they work. :D

The best thing for these old non-mesh bogies is to substitute the built-in one <kuid:-10:149> or its replacement <kuid:-25:622>.

Lucky for me i have found layots with your items on it so had 1.7gb to download, been 2 hours on adsl2+ and got the first 1gb, so allow a lot of time.
Not on dls for peoples intrest
