-Since the beginning of 2013, my interest in Trainz has somewhat decreased. I've been working on my Cajon Sub Division route off and on for quite some time now. Since my last release at SCT, almost two months ago, I took a much needed break. Since SP1 was released, I came back, but its not the way it was before. I'm finding it a little hard to get back into content creation and route building, like as if I have some stupid mental block I have applied to myself.
-Anyway, what I am looking for is a couple, one or two people to join me at SCT in building the Cajon Sub. This may sound dumb but I have to be strict at picking these select few, if anyone even wants to be a part of this and if not, oh well. Reason being, I need someone that's at least at my level if not higher. Someone that knows the Trainz sim in and out, knows about surveyor, route building, blending textures, scenery, etc. 3d modeling is a plus too, but not required. I feel, to make the best route, having a team is definitely helpful. There is no time limit on the route nor do I have a release date in sight. For what I want in this route, is to create the best Cajon Sub anyone has ever seen from any sim. Track work is 98% complete. I just need to finish up track in the Colton yard. I find my track laying abilities to be my strong point, not to sound big headed. All track has been laid with the closest precision that Trainz will let me do. Money has also been invested into the Cajon route. Transdem was purchased. (It is 1/9 arc dem based iirc) Gradient maps, timetables etc. have also been purchased as well as other misc. items for accuracy, as well as a road trip back to my home town of San Bernardino. Majority of you all know about my (JR/N3V) Mojave Sub Division route that is built into Trainz 2012, so hopefully that can shed some light on what to expect from Cajon, but better. Also to clear things up, as some already know from a while back, I have chose to no longer be with Jointedrail. As I am still affiliated and very close with those great group of guys, still talk to them almost on a daily basis, I thought I would move on and stand on my own two feet.
-I grew up in San Bernardino. Cajon offers it all! Every type of train from passenger to intermodal. Cajon is rated at 150 trains in a 24 hour period, on average 90-94 per day (post 2008). My end goal is to have two different versions of Cajon, pre 2008, before the construction of the third mainline. Then a later version, after the third mainline was built on the west side of summit, 2009 to present.
-Requirements:
-At least 1-2+ years of Trainz experience.
-Surveyor, content manager and content creator plus experience.
-Experience and or knowledgeable on prototypical train operations.
-Knowledgeable on southern California.
-A fan of SP, UP, ATSF and BNSF.
-3d modeling and photoshop experience is a plus but not required.
-All this may sound very stupid to some and I may get criticized for posting this, but this is just a feeler to see if anyone with skills would be interested in being a part of creating the 81+ mile long Cajon Sub Division. When all is said and done, there will be plenty to do on Cajon. From passenger service, to locals, to yard shunting, to mainline freight, I don't see how anyone could get bored with the Cajon Sub! Questions, comments or if you just want to explain your skills, is all welcomed here. Criticism is welcomed too. You can also PM me if necessary. Thanks for your time and reading this.
