The "Arch" bridge is the original RR bridge. The elevated bridge is used by automobile traffic. The "Arch" bridge is only used as a fishing pier these days and has several sections that have been removed. The bridge is also part of a movie that Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in. (TRUE LIES).

I use to work down in the keys and LOVED being down there! Drove over this spot many times!

Here's something you can look forward to!

The dilapidated Downtown Spur's port lead will be represented as a full functioning link, and it has been my honor to impose it today, because of this.

What we FEC aficionados are trying to set straight is that an existing corridor can be used to alleviate traffic issues, not a tunnel that will be polluting and risky.

This is to be worked on immediately, with some effects before others. Screenshots coming soon.

Work has been moving swiftly on the stretch from the real mainline to the Port, as in track layout, but no screens by far. If I take screens, they will not likely be textured but show a vailid track layout through to Downtown Miami, FL.

Meanwhile, I turned Mile Marker 87 from a simple 2 lane passage to an interchange and an overpass over the track, due to the way Nikos laid it.

For some reason the third shot reminds me of Stuart, FL and Ojus, FL combined. Maybe it's the roundabout and the overpass since there is a major concentration of roads beneath this viaduct, when, in reality, it's just a bunch of easy to access neighborhood roads.

I viewed that video, though the fire in the simulator is really meant to be a car fire... That explains all the emergency vehicles, but where the fire appears kinda fits. :hehe:

On Friday, my railfan outing began by a drive down to Key West to check out the tracks. It was subtle, that is, except for local 996 being on ay 0730 for 0800.

The job works local industries, and despite the overcrowding of Flagler Yard (that shall be the name of the yard in Key West) the industrial spur housing these cars is not as demanding of freight as was before.
Today the first query is switching Home Depot.

No dead loads spotted there so 996 returns light.

The next query was building 214, a KW-Bowden train of most of the RR's commodities, mostly empties. That was not pictured, but I have the first screens to 214 to present.

Out of the yard at 10 mph he splits Roosevelt Boulevard and the bustling Downtown of Key West.

Then he passes a nice riverfront. I do own a property there and am taking my screen from there...

I then pace 214 on US1 and get him at...

The geeps are a model by Mike Cyr. They have been in existence for 2 years, though never publically released. For personal use, I have been tweaking the models with lettered long hoods and the hurricane logo for realism, though I think the dynamic brakes need to be pulled and for there to be two RS3Ls, one front and one back.
