FCT Issues

Not happy Jan! Over the past couple of weeks I have been downloading without a FCT and though it was slow I got there in the end so I thought ok I'll buy a FCT and my downloads will be much better.....Wrong! For the past two days I've tried to connect and I get a message 'Sorry the server seems to be full try again later'. I thought that this was the full point of getting an FCT, to prevent this type of issue. Not happy that I've spent my hard earned cash in today climate for this type of service. I hope Auran will fix this issue PDQ and honour an extension to our FCT or there'll be no more trainz for me and everyone of my friends. Not a good customer experience!

There could be a number of problems with your FCT. The first is, have you activated your FCT in your profile? If you have not then go to your profile to do that, you may have to wait for up to 24 hours for it to "kick" in though.

Remember also that the FCT ticket gives you better access to the DLS and a better speed depending on your type/speed of your internet connection.

I also had trouble with my FCT. Not the same problem you are having. The problem I had was that my download speed never went above 20kbps... which IS better then the 5kbps you get without it... however, not worth my money. I asked that they cancel my FCT and refund my money. They did.

Auran is having "growing pains" with 2009. In a few months (most likely after this summer) I will buy a new ticket. I want to support the company, but I need to support myself first.
 
I have Verizon Fios, and if I'm not mistaken, I get 250 to 300 kbps. Either way it's fast, and my computer sucks. You are probably just overlooking something that some of these Trainz gurus can help you with. When I first bought my FCT after the trial expired, I had some problems and they got sorted out I just don't remember exactly what I had to do. Mine expires soon and I will probably have to go another round.
