Faulty Switch?

Get over it
What would make a switch change directions when a consist was passing over it? It's a long consist moving at 25mph going to a loading point. I've tried numerous things, shorting the consist, changing the switch diameter from 20.00 t0 0.50 and redoing the switch area to no avail. Any suggestions or ideas. Thanks.

Are there any AI trains on the route? Or is the train that keeps getting de-railed AI controlled?

Also, which Trainz version are you using, and what build is it? TS12 (And TS2010 with MP beta) should lock the junctions when a train passes over them.

I'm running TS12, build 49922, and the consist that keeps getting derailed is AI controlled. This is the only switch that this happens. That is why I'm baffled. Been playing this game a long time and this is a first for me.

I had this problem also. There are two things you can try. 1: Move the switch lever closer to the points. 2: Change the default direction of the junction.

Is this a xover jct with one of those xover controllers in use?
I recall tryin to use that and derailed the trains last cars everytime....

Is the junction on a round loop? (not siding loop) If so, the AI train could be looking for the next junction, which is the one it is passing over, and switching it. I believe putting a dummy juncton, maybe to a disused siding, solves the problem.

If it's not on a loop, then maybe someone else will have the answer.

Thanks kenneth3141, changing the switch default direction did the trick. Makes no sense to me, now the switch direction points to the siding and not the main line. Go figure. Thanks everyone for responding.

thats wierd may wanna look at that junction in surveyor see that its not winding a overture to cause that ....
