Faulty asset

Does anyone know how to fix this asset? TUME-Street-101. It's not on the DLS so it must be from a third party site. The kuid is <kuid2:82412:49891001:1> The errors are texture.txt is missing but the pev tool can't fix them because when you open the textures there's no image. Also, the thumbnail container is missing. This is the only faulty asset in the updated Reading and Northern 19 route on the DLS. I have platinum so it can't be a missing built-in.

Have you tried Revert to original? Right-click on the asset and choose that from the menu.

The fact that it doesn't have an image implies that it's from DLC. DLC have no images and the compressed data is in a different format than older content which is why PEVs Images2TGA doesn't work.

I could not find a "Reading and Northern 19" but there are two "Reading and Northern" routes on the DLS

A missing thumbnail container is easily fixed by adding one to the config.txt file and supplying a suitable thumbnail. See https://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php/"Thumbnails"_container

If there is a missing texture file then there are two possibilities - either the file was removed by the creator because it was no longer needed but he/she forgot to remove its name from the config.txt file OR they forgot to add the texture file to the asset.

Texture files can be "tricky' because their name may appear in the config.txt file with the suffix ".texture" when in fact the full suffix is ".texture.txt"

You can try (after making a backup copy of the asset first) deleting any references in its confg.txt file to the missing texture file (.texture or .texture.txt) and see if that makes any difference.

TUME-Street-101,<kuid2:82412:49891001:1> is built-in content in TS12. You can edit the .texture files in that version with PEV's Image2TGA utility and import it into any recent version of Trainz. I've done it at some point in the past because I have it installed in TRS19 (100240) as modified content.

I just thought of something...

If the asset is in TS12, you can edit it prior to SP1 HF4. At that version, the built-in assets were encrypted making it impossible to fix the textures.
