Fatal Error When Launching TRS2006

Greetings,

A while ago I started receiving the error window below when trying to launch TRS2006 on my Windows Vista computer. I can't specifically recall if this was after an update or any kind of change on my computer, so I'm not particularly sure why this started occurring.

I've tried searching both this and other forums a few times for a solution but haven't yet come up with anything. Also, most of my searches have lead me to threads where the exception to the error differs from mine. If anyone could help me out and give me a lead in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

Switch to TS12 and you won't get Fatal Errors. That's what I hated about TRS2006. I couldn't run routes for those Fatal Errors.

(My suggestion, upgrade. You can't go wrong at that price)... Its a big improvement over TRS2006.

First of all you have to register your game, as it does not show next to your name.

TRS2006 runs just fine on all OS, as long as you have DirectX 9 installed, and make Allowable Program Exception Rules for Launcher.exe and CMP.exe in your antivirus firewall, and tick desktop icon/properties Run As Administrator.

Fatal errors can occur in TRS2004 as well, although I’ve only ever seen it happen on loading an extremely over-bloated route (one of mine I hasten to add).

The screen you display is familiar, and there are ways to overcome the problem.

As others have said, all legitimate editions can be registered. So go and do that, and help will be forthcoming.
