Fast approach into stations

Something comes into my mind when it comes to writing an ATO session...

It seems that the consists always approach the station at 11 mph or less. On the Victoria line, I've seen consists approach the station at about 20-30 mph.

Is there a way to get the consists to approach the station at higher speeds, with assumption that the deceleration values are already sufficient enough to avoid an overrun?

Thank you.

Hi 321,

The method I use is to place a trackmark on the approach to the station and tell the driver to 'drive via trackmark' then 'navigate to station' and 'load'. The trackmark should be at the position you judge the braking should start as the driver will not see the 'navigate to station' command untill he has hit the trackmark. You will have to experiment a little bit with the distance before the station and don't forget you can also adjust the trackmark radius. Also remember different locos will have different braking characteristics.

Cheers,

How can I adjust the track-mark radius?

Besides, I think this could be a script someone could develop on as I am pretty novice at this. I am getting fascinated by a recent video on how TBTC (Transmission Based Train Control) works.

Go to the t/m laying bit, under that you will see advanced, open that. The first option is get trigger radius. It will be 20.00, alter that to your figure, for eg 5.00 (a 5 meter radius). Then use the set trigger radius button. (2nd option).
Or using the third button, set trigger radius. Put the mouse on the trigger and move it up or down to set radius.
