Extended Database Repair Cancels Itself

After having major issues with Content Manager 3.6, I have decided to run an extended database repair the old way: Deleting the "assets.tdx" and "assets.bku" files. I then start the game to do the repair, but it will only go halfway, and then cancel itself, and I can't start the game because it tries to start another database repair, which, once again, cancels itself. This is a very annoying issue and I could use some help.

Thanks,
Matt

This is a bad start. These files are not fully recoverable short of a complete reinstall. A database repair can restore most of the functionality, but in some cases you will have lingering issues that only a full reinstall can fix. If possible, find the original files in your Recycle Bin and restore them to your Trainz install, then run an extended database repair to clean up the mess.

This suggests that a crash is occurring in one of the tools during the repair process, probably caused by faulty content. Unfortunately it's impossible for me to say what content is at fault in this situation. A lot of what we do with the service packs and hot fixes is adding detection for this kind of problem, so that it's flagged as a failure or silently repaired rather than causing a crash.

To go along with what you just said about faulty content... it crashes during the "Checking for Faulty Assets" stage, but it gets a little farther each time.

EDIT: Everything seems to be working now. Maybe my PC and Trainz weren't on the same page earlier.
