Engine stats in Messages

Somehow, I must have messed with a setting that is now displaying during sessions in the message center (lower left near engineer's profile) - the constant updated engine temp and amperes. How can I turn this off?

You can try going into the menus on top during a session, while driving, toggle messages and things off, until that particular one is gone.

I can turn off all driver messages in general with those settings, but I am getting non-stop messages about loco amps and temperature for every locomotive on the map. I have no clue how this got turned on and no idea how to turn is off. Has anyone had this happen? I want the usual messages to come through - but not the constant temp of each loco

In the Main Menu in Trainz, in the 3-bar menu, located under settings... is the engine options library for JR locomotives. You can set cabin sway and other features including engine breakdowns and also a debug mode. You didn't by chance change any of the options in the JR locomotive library?

I'm not a genius by any means. Thank you anyway for the compliment. I was poking around one day and clicked on the option then couldn't remember what I did and had to go poking again around until I found it.
