empty editing folders

I don't want to mess anything up, but does it matter if I delete the "edit" folders after asset has been committed? They build up and start to become a nuisance.

I delete them all the time without any problems. Generally they are empty anyway.

I make sure that there is nothing open for edit first before deleting the empty folders but I've never had a problem after deleting them.

I believe they are left behind if you do an "edit in explorer" and forget to close the explorer window before committing the asset that you were looking at.
