Eldavo's Driver 67

Hello.

I have quite a number of locos which show as faulty due to a single dependancy. Driver 67 (2:75134:67024:2) has a missing texture. I've tried downloading it but to no avail and I'm not sure how to go about fixing this. I would rather I was able to get this asset fixed than have to change the driver in numerous locos as that's when I start to mess things up.

Can anyone help me please?

If I remember correctly it is missing boot.texture. Make a Boot.texture.txt file with the following entries:

Primary=black.tga
Tile= st

Create or copy a solid black texture as a tga file. It can be as small as you like (I used 4x4).

Then all should be OK, although I don't know what you can do about his RH leg as the texture seems to be inside out and only Eldavo could correct that.

Zoiks! What I read there was make a wibble, climp clump, fargle wiggedy flimble:

Garpy blap furdingle
Tippydib.

Hehe.

I'm not very good with anything beyond using tools to fix errors (such as PM2IM). I would be more than happy if you were to assume I'm a dummy and give me a suitable explanation of what I need to do.

Thanks for your answer. Please excuse my stupidity/lack of experience.

Cheers.

Before I can give you a beginner's guide, I need to know what version of Trainz you are using and also what paint program you have.

Good! In CMP select Driver 67 and open for edit in Explorer (NOT ccp).

Open Notebook and type the following:

Primary=black.tga
Tile= st

Now save that file to your opened Driver 67 folder as boot.texture.txt

Now in GIMP create a small all black image (4 x 4 pixels is enough) [unless you want brown shoes!] and save it to the same folder as a targa file black.tga.

Now commit the folder back to CMP with ctrl+M (N.B. NOT ctrl+R which reverts to the original) and you should now be able to see the driver but as I mentioned before there does seem to be a problem with the right leg which only Eldavo can correct.

Hope this helps.

Mr Toot, you absolute legend!

I raise my hat to you sir and thank you as I have thanked many others before. It is always good to know there are those like yourself who are willing to help the less technically skilled people like me.

Thank you once again.

Cheers.
Innis.

The latest version of the driver and textures on the DLS should be error free in CMP.

Cheers
Dave
