Suffering for his art.
Why does suvayer keep throwing up missing dependancies on my own map when I havn't added any new content to the map (I have added more content to the map but it is stuff that is already loaded into the map.) when the last time I loaded it was fine. I click on delete missing objects this works a couple of times then throws up missing dependecies again. This happens on all of my maps and am a little worried that eventually this will kill my maps, although at the moment everything seems OK. I'm using 04 btw.

I used to get this in '04 sometimes. It never caused me any real grief. I suspect it was a dependency of a dependency that was the issue, but I never proved it, and I never knew why it went away.

Have you tried looking for missing dependencies with TrainzObjectz? It's also possible you've downloaded an update to some content used on your map, and that update has more dependencies than the original...

Hope this helps...

Paul

I have found that it is the rolling stock in the session that seem to cause. Try deleting the session, and the problem should go away.

As mentioned above you are most likely missing a sub-dependency of something - a product from an industry track or a product from a piece of rolling-stock are the most likely culprits.

To find the missing bit open the route in TO and right-click anywhere on the field. The pop-up menu that appears has an option something like 'Find third party content with missing dependencies'. This will generate a list of missing sub-dependencies...

Andy :)

@JCitron - It happens in the origional map without any sessions loaded can't see rolling stock being the cause. Although ages ago I tried putting a item of rolling stock to test bridge hights and got a stack dump error but cancled it and chose a different one. Could this be the cause?

:D

@Paulzmay - Oh yea, it shows missing dependancies for maps never thourght to use it for my own map. Will try it as soon as I have time to load trainz objectz (I have farrrrrr too much stuff (now over 100GB worth) it takes 3 quaters of an hour to load up )

:D

Cheers
