East Broad Top Narrow Gauge #12

Hi,

Since I have recently been accepted into the East Broad Top Gang, I have begun work on EBT Mikado #12 a.k a Milly. Here are two pics after about 4 1/2 hours of work.

I still have alot of parts to apply to the front. before moving on to any other section of the engine.

I have revised the headlight to look more proto-typical and have added one side of drive wheels.

Thanks Matt, but I am no where as good as the others here like Lilb, Anl or trainboi. Plus, I still dont know how to animate lol.

yeah this is definately a priority in this project that we're wroking on, if anyone here knows how to animate your assistance would be much appreciated in our efforts,

also another thing trainman East broad top #12 had 48" diameter drivers so we need to scale those correctly

hate to say it but i noticed the boiler was a bit small, if you reference the picture again you'll notice the top of the boiler alligns with separation of the front cab windows

Correct, this is all being fixed. I still have all the piping and other critical parts to do. Should by done by this weekend. I work fast lol

=) I agree. Gmax was atleast able to teach me (by teaching myself) how to use 3Ds Max

EDIT: I just noticed there is a missing spoke in my front pilot /)_-

So, I have gotten onto the rear bogey pilot, I also raised the boiler aswell as increased the size of it. Whistle comes next as eell as the westing house then pipes and misc.

Trainman7616 just saw this thread as I've been an infrequent visitor of the forums this last year. For EBT lovers this is candy to our eyes. I'd always hoped Ben Neal would do #12 and #14 to fill out the 3 Mikado classes the EBT used.

Well, while I dont have any pictures to update,, I do still have an update.

The drive wheels have begun the animation process. Once those are done then I can delete the one on the model body.

attention to all we expect the locomotive designated #12 by the east broad top to be finished in the building stage by friday, with the help of trainboi1 we should have the animations done by next week at which point locomotive testing and pre-realease preparations are made.
once this locomotive is completed, work will begin on #14 which once done will be released to the public, due to #15 being the same size as 14 it will be a short period of time between those two releases

Woah woah woah hold up, I am the only one modeling the EBT engines for this project amoung other engines. I cant gaurantee when this will be done as well as when the other EBT engines will be started. Im still learning 3dmax.
