Dual gauge track?

I was wondering, does anyone know where I can find dual gauge track for download? (namely, track that is both standard gauge and 3' 6" narrow gauge).

I know there is two different types of such track on the DLS (QR dual gauge by Alby6, (kuid:72882:1093:1), which sadly doesn't seem to work in 2010, and MB dual gauge 3' 6" track by Mike10 (kuid:35412:38068), which works well, but is apparently causing bad framerate issues on a route I'm making which requires a large amount of such track (possibly due to a high poly count), so I'm desperate for a replacement.

I did consider just laying standard gauge track and then laying a 'dummy' narrow gauge track over the top to simulate dual gauge, but I tried laying a test section in such a way and just couldn't get the rails to align properly, especially on bends, so I've abandoned such an idea. Hence, the need for a proper dual gauge spline.

If anyone knows of any other dual gauge track that can be downloaded (preferably three rail dual gauge track with a common rail), I'll be very grateful. Thanks! :)

Hmmm, well I don't know what's gone wrong for me then because it's not showing up in Surveyor - it appears in the spline list as normal, but when I try laying it on a route, all that appears are the ends of the spline - the actual textures are missing, as if it's invisible track.

Thinking the content might be missing a dependency or something similar I scanned it in CMP but it didn't pick up any problems or errors with the content.

I even tried re-downloading it but naturally CMP said it was already installed and that there was nothing to download. I wish I knew how to fix it, as everything I've tried doesn't seem to work.

Hi: The best way to solve that problem is to delete and then redownload..Make sure you delete first ..:wave:

Enkidoh...

For the QR Dual guage that doesn't work, open it for edit in explorer and open the config.txt file in notepad add the following line:

mesh-table
{
default
{
mesh "default.im"
auto-create 1
}
}

I recommend adding it at the end. Recommit and it should work.

I tried your solution RRSig, and, sure enough, the track works perfectly now! :D You've solved my problem completely, and I can now move on with my route's development.

Thank you so much for the help!

Also, thanks to Red and Bob for their advice too, I really appreciate it. :)
