driving a Class 40

so bacicly there's lots of rust. parts are worn. windows are smashed and or have been taken out. engine and alternator is corroded beyond usage.

But taking them out is the easiest part. making and fitting the replacements are the hardest part of the job.

But to be honest I think that if I and my company restore it. I think it would be worth the hard work. Plus it would give me something to do.

The guys who are restoring D8233 are heroes.I went round Barry scrapyard in 1979 and "cabbed" D601 Ark Royal, the only surviving "Big 600" NBL Warship and it makes me sad to think if it had only survived a few more years it might have been restored.:(
