Dear Stryker
Greeting from the northern frontier of New York State.
I know nothing of scripting.
I have been looking at your Driver Speed Rule and would love to have it: 1) list drivers by the names I have assigned them in each session like "Jensen Sawmill to Westside Seaport" 2) eliminate any drivers from the list I have not used in the session 3) Show drivers whose names I have had to repeat.
I am currently running 60 IA trains on my big layout.
I realize that this would mean asking the script to pull specific data from each session and could be complex to script. But if you are willing to try it I would be glad to pay you, via Paypal, for you efforts!
Thanks

Hi Jim
From memory what you are suggesting would not be difficult to add to the driver speed rule. Unfortunately I've not had Trainz installed on any PC here for several years now. I couldn't even be certain that script works with more recent versions than TRS2006 since I've not kept current.
Scripts are in clear text in Trainz so if you did find someone willing to take on your task you have my blessing so long as they attribute the original work.
As for documentation, the Trainzscript interpreter is similar to c++ as I recall. I didn't have any documentation when learning it aside from the headers which explained the available methods. I sure hope they've documented it somewhat since then ; ) The forums were extremely helpful also since the Auran guys prowled in the background and would eventually throw a hint into the mix when I got stuck completely.
Cheers, and all the best,
Geoff
OK, I am willing to pay a sripter to edit the script in the Driver Speed Rule to do the things listed in bold above. Anyone interested??
