Anyone know some good (as in BIG) DRIVABLE aircraft? (Please don't post HOW to fly them. I already know).:)

Other than the 2 zepplins, 2 Bell helicopters and a Cessna 150 there is:
Super Puma AS322 Helo 60238:9497
DC3 152080:20521
A320 75962:31003

The Airbus 320 is not that good in my view, the AIR FRANCE logo reads backwards on one side of the aircraft. I think the DC3 is much better. There is also a Vickers Viscount which is nicely done. Can't remember if this is a 2- or 4-engine job.

Railway and Railroad are just the names. Americans use railroad, the British use railway. Don't ask me why it's different. Not much difference since in the description of some routes still use the Mectric System in the US version.

I have the DC-3 and Viscount planes. They fly in A1 and go from airport to airport. But there are two unrealistic details: 1) take off speed is too slow, and 2) when flying I can hear clic-clat as if rails wheels noise. Anybody knows how to solve these problems?

Just found another excellent big plane in my collection, a drivable Boeing 727. Nicely shaped nose and good detail on that one

Regarding speeds, I've often found it necessary to actually add "mass" to the plane in the config file. Oddly enough, this actually increases the speed. There used to be lots of threads explaining this, but they are all gone now. I have also found I get better performance from aircraft if I control them with the Autopilot command rather than an AI driver. No idea why. And don't forget to add invisible speedboards to the track to make them accelerate on take off, slow down after landing and for taxi-ing on the runways.

Nothing can be done about the track sound, as far as I'm aware, it's a property of the track, not the planes.
