Planes flying off carrier

I just started running Port Saturn route and noticed the industry aircraft carrier USS CVN 68 Nimitz 1. Would love some help in setting it up to work? It would be neat having planes flying off the carrier and around the route. Like where to find the planes and how to setup them on carrier and set routes for them to fly before landing on carrier?

Install this little map with carrier and session. Maybe this will help:

A demonstration map to show how to set up the aircraft carrier, triggers and aircraft. This base map has the aircraft carrier model, track and triggers placed, but the triggers have no settings allocated.
The map is not scenicked, use it as a base for your own design.
For a demonstration session, that does have trigger settings applied and various aircraft located ready for flight, load the Session Carrier Operations which is also available on the DLS

Hello Popie, the demo map should help. If you set up the carrier at another location you need to place invisible track on the carrier deck to have junctions for the aircraft to navigate to different parts of the carrier. It is easiest to make those junctions away from the carrier, set them to deck height, and then drag them into position on the deck.

The demo was made for a much older version of Trainz, in 2010. Some changes in newer versions have compromised operations. Any junction on the deck will not react to a mouse click to change direction. You need to zoom out to a minimap view to make the junction changes. I had built a model of the USS Yorktown for older aircraft, but not uploaded because of this problem.

In Surveyor click on the carrier and you will get a popup screen showing how to set it up and operate.

You will find some information in this post, for the Yorktown but applicable to the Nimitz setup.

I have a couple of routes setup with a crop duster. Works and looks fantastic. All you really need are the invisible tracks and, of course, some planes that can "drive" on them. Setup, in Sessions, the commands to taxi, take off, land, and taxi again. You'll also want invisible speed signs on the invisible tracks.
