Downloads

before you download start up the TS2009 CMP 1st that should then put the item you want in there.

That does not always work as it depends on which program, CMP for TS12 or CMP for 2009, is registered for accepting the downloads. A better method might be to use the Download Page on the DLS website to use FTP to download the .cdp file to your hard drive then install the .cdp file into 2009 (or into both programs) using the Import CDP options in CMPs main menu.

I have both TS12 and Trainz 2010 on my system and I use this method to install new assets into both programs without having to download the file twice.

Agreed Peter. I put 10 and 12 on different drives for just that reason. I still want to finish a 4 grid route i'm doing and putting it into 12 just too many probs. If both on the same drive, the OP will have to use download page or let it DL to whichever CMP is main then make CDP (in menu) and activate it to the other CMP.

I download the CMP to my desktop and then use the install CMP function of the Trainz version I want. Then I drag it into the download box to download dependencies.

Same here, download to a folder of my choice, then check for nasties before importing into Trainz - especially useful if downloading from a provate site.
